I’m Bethanie Cherry, a licensed intervention specialist and certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner with over 20 years of teaching experience. My approach combines evidence-based instruction with patience and encouragement, helping every learner build the skills, confidence, and strategies they need to thrive.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University (OH) and am licensed in K–12 Mild/Moderate Intervention, Grades 4–9 English Language Arts and Social Studies, and Grades 4–6 Math Generalist; Wilson Level I Certified and Group Certified, specializing in structured literacy and dyslexia intervention. The Wilson Reading System is based on the Orton-Gillingham method, a research-proven, multisensory approach designed to help struggling readers in grades 2 through adulthood - including those who have struggled with dyslexia for years, those who are newly diagnosed, and those who feel they may have dyslexic tendencies but have not had formal intervention.
For families with younger children (pre-K through grade 1), I am happy to discuss personalized support options to build early literacy skills and confidence.
